TECHNICAL WRITING
The essence of good documentation is concise, accurate, unambiguous and consistent content - best achieved by professional authorship.
All TIS writers are formally-educated engineers and skilled authors. They contribute a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and technical expertise to all work that we undertake.
Our authors readily understand the technologies that they confront. Sound engineering backgrounds and a cooperative approach minimise our customers’ overhead in product training, technical liaison, draft review and publications' management. |

DOCUMENT DESIGN
A technical document must be a useable tool. It should be ergonomic in style and layout, have a logical architecture, and be readily navigable. Good design should also support administration and maintenance over the document’s life cycle.
TIS designs documents and bespoke DTP templates that can:
- accommodate the architecture and topics of a single manual or a documentation suite;
- optimise the reuse of content;
- minimise document maintenance overheads;
ensure consistency throughout a multi-product library;
- support media-independence and
e-publishing ...
- … and reinforce corporate branding.
As a baseline, we always apply the standards of BS4884. |
